The Basic Adirondack chair is designed to provide all the comfort, good looks and durability of our Classic chair at a much more affordable price.
While we have made some changes to enable us to offer this great price none of them impacts on how comfortable the chair is to sit in or how good it is to look at.
The size and shape of the chair is identical to its higher priced cousins but the following changes help us to reduce the time it takes to build each chair and pass great savings on to you.
What is the difference?
1 - The Basic chair is only available in Western Red Cedar.
2 - Most of the screws are carefully countersunk rather than being hidden beneath wooden plugs. (We still conceal the ones in the arms, because we think it makes enough difference to your enjoyment of the chair)
3 - We do not rout over all the edges of the timber, concentrating this extra work only in the places where it most matters (the seat and arms)
